What a day! I can honestly say that I have never
been so impressed with what can be achieved by a
small group of people with a common goal in mind.
Over 60 racers were pre-registered for the 5K by
Wednesday of last week, putting us over the number
that have participated in total for the 5K in years
past so we had some indication that this was going
to be a spectacularly successful event. In total, over
100 people arrived with dogs in tow (more than I
have seen in one place in my entire life!) More
racers with more dogs than ever and lots with more
than one dog! It was like a parade going through the
streets of Fallon. Awesome!
After the 5K, we rolled right into the Bark in the
Park which was at a new location this year, Oats
Park. It could not have been a better venue, better
weather couldn’t have been ordered and better
supporters couldn’t be dreamed of for this event.
