My name is Rosa Margarita Delgado. I am the proud parent to four sets of furry paws. Not
uncommon to the daily routine around my house, the moments leading up to this photo were
predictably chaotic. Notice only three sets of furry paws. The Pomeranian is Speedy and he’s the
oldest of the bunch at thirteen years old. Time has definitely crept up on him as last year we noticed
that his teeth are extremely loose and ready to fall out. Lola the Chihuahua is four years old and
very skittish which is why she decided to attach herself to me rather than be in the photo. Bruno the
smaller of the two toys on the far right is three years old and his son Benny in the middle just turned
one. We had a wonderful time taking these photos and we are very proud to be a part of this
calendar.

Polly was picked up on streets of Fresno January 2007, weighing 11 lbs, emaciated, full of worms,
and bloody from cuts and wounds (her ears and face bear the scars). Her front teeth are ground
down to the gum-line!
Whitney Mayeda, an employee of The Hope Foundation, saw Poll and took her home, saving her
from euthanasia. She placed Polly on Pet Finder, where I spotted her, thinking we would not replace
our last rescue Bage, as my husband and I work many hours away from home, caring for the animals
of others.
It was "love at first sight" when I saw Poll, though I was not even sure she was a Beagle, she was
sooo ill!!
Five weeks later, after a touch-and-go recovery, we drove to Fresno to adopt our Baby!!!
Of all the Beagles, we have had and loved, Poll (Pollywog as her "foster Mum" calls her, is the MOST
loving, giving little girl!! She is a Love-on-a-Leash Therapy Dog, visiting patients at Carson Tahoe
Hospital and nursing homes. She cannot get/give enough Love!!
