CAPS has been chosen as an Ambassador for Pro Plan’s Rally to the
Rescue program! CAPS has shown marked growth and community
support to achieve this status.
CAPS is the only ambassador chosen by Pro Plan to represent the State
of Nevada. Paws Applause!
According to the Pro Plan Web site, www.proplan.com, “Rally to the
Rescue helps rescue organizations across the county give rescued pets
the nutrition and care they need and the loving homes they deserve.
Rally to the Rescue focuses on the support of smaller pet rescue
organizations [like CAPS] that may often be overlooked by potential
donors and adopters due to their more limited fund raising and
marketing capabilities. The nationwide efforts to raise awareness for
pet rescue causes will have a positive impact on rescue organizations,
big and small.
“Rally to Rescue is a partnership of Purina Pro Plan brand pet food
and select pet rescue organizations across the country, dedicated to
raising funds and awareness for the cause of pet rescue. Rescue
Ambassadors are the heart of this program.”
CAPS will host events touting the program, which will be documented
and sent back to Pro Plan. We will receive information packets and
matching pet collars and wristbands (for the people) for us to sell for
$5 to help us raise funds. We will be getting a 10- by 10-foot pop-up
tent with the Rally to Rescue logo, a banner with the logo and other
supplies to make the events successful.
You can help by purchasing your matching Rally to the Rescue collar
and wristband from CAPS and wearing it with pride. Contact the
shelter during business hours to get your matching collar and wristband
or come see us at our outreach events.
You can also do you part by looking to your local shelters for your next
Best Friend who needs a second chance.
